Last year the line stretched for more than 50 yards that bend two corners with eager kids and parents trying to find out what all noise that was coming from the Blue Cross Blue Shield tour bus. Once they got on the bus and had their Be Organic healthy lifestyle experience and got off the bus; we weren’t surprise to see them run back to the end of the line to see the three “foodies” again!

Well we are back at it again! This time around we are not on the bus but in the middle of “Fun & Fit” under the biggest tent that makes the “Great Wall of China” look like childs play!! Now more kids can really rake havoic by having a fun and exciting time with the Be Organic “organic takeover” experience. We will be conducting cooking demos where the stars, the children, will prepare “Caribbean Chicken Wraps”. During the demos we will educate the kids on nutrition and physical fitness, which were two of the four components that were highlighted from the Organic Takeover Tour 2009.

The star “foodies”-in-the-making will relish the chance to see the unofficial Food Network’s biggest stars in action. Most of them will, if not all of them, recognize the “foodie” masters from the prior year. We will bring high octane energy and share our easiest and most healthful meal with simple instructions and overall exuberance employed in this important educational effort. With the proper encouragement, all children can get into the act of preparing snacks, entrees, and low-cal meals that rely on fresh, wholesome ingredients and a minimum of work. And of course you better believe that mom and dad are going to learn a few things after they experience our “organic takeover”!!

10-15 Minute office workout plan that’s easy and fun.

You can do it with a co-worker or on the phone speaking about what happen last night at you know whose house! Bring your walking sneaker and take a 10-15 min lap around your office building. You can power walk or slow walk you can even speed walk and guess what they also invent the regular walker. Whatever the case may be walking is fun and exciting way to burn off those unwanted fats and calories.

What about the people who just cannot get away from the office, what do we do? Well the office place is like a big jungle gym you just got to see it for what it is. There are chairs and desks if you have your own office you are the luck one. What can I do with my chair and desk-well you can do some squats, 3 sets of 10 each day, change position after each set. If you are one of the lucky ones with an office, close your door its push-ups and sits ups time, along with your squats start off small like 3 sets of 8 and work your way up.

The great thing about doing office exercise is this will give you extra energy to carry out the rest of your day. No more mid-day crash, no more after lunch parking lot naps. This will also help you at home if you do have kids, this routine will give you some extra energy to go home and cook dinner with (Be Organic Finishing sauces it’s quick and easy way to make a great meal and have fun while doing it) your kids and help them with their homework or whatever you have plan.

Well that’s all for now folks see you at the jungle I mean in the office.

“Green Lifestyles”

LisaWhen you think of the phrase “Green Lifestyles” what comes to mind?

For me when I threw down my first uncensored brainstorms on paper playing with a mindmap, the first raw clusters of info that popped into my head were water, waste, health, home, garden, power, transportation, work and play.

The process of green living is just starting for me. Roosevelt, Kirk and Andre have really been catalysts of change and hope for me. They’ve opened my eyes to some cutting edge concepts and the possibilities of living healthier, feeling fit and reducing my carbon footprint. It’s personal for me. I have Multiple Sclerosis, and I’m trying to make some positive changes in my life. Sometimes you get sick and tired of feeling sick and tired! lol

I don’t work presently, nor do I have health insurance. They see me coming with a pre-existing condition, and it’s an automatic “no-go”. In a position like that you’re going to have to re-asses everything in lfe. So the changes have been slow and gradual, but like any new and revolutionary ideas, the results have already created a seismic shift in my way of thinking and basic core values. It’s not just about eating raw food and recycling. It’s so much bigger than that! It’s about people, it’s about community, it’s about life. And yes, it IS Global!

I’m a skeptic and very analytical. When someone makes a claim of some sort, if it matters to me, I’m gonna scope it out, research it and put it to the test. That’s just me. When you start really digging into organic foods and living green, it becomes a no-brainer. Start weighing the cost of healthcare vs healthier preventive alternatives such as nutrition and fitness that are not only good for you, but also good for your community and the world you live in and ~ well ~ the benefits become quite clear!

My green lifestyle discovery journey is just beginning. What has yours been like? What do you know? When you think of the term Green Lifestyles, what does it mean to you personally? We all have a story to tell, a truth to share! What is yours?

Give me “the juice”. Let me hear from you!
ciao,
Lis’
